Preparing to host COP28, the UAE has emphasized the importance of discussing the moral responsibility of religious leaders in tackling climate change; the UAE will host the Confluence of Conscience, gathering renowned world religious leaders.
The Confluence of Conscience is an opportunity to enhance the status of religious diplomacy, its role in confronting global challenges, and be part of the global debate warning against policies harmful to the environment.
Religious leaders play a vital and globally recognized role in enhancing individual discipline and a responsible attitude toward the environment.
Religious leaders with moral authority, like the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar and the Pope, cannot alone impose radical solutions as change requires collective efforts.
