New video series! Reflections on Religion & Ecology: Yale Alumni Speak from the Field

Tara C. Trapani

Earlier this week, the Forum released a series of 21 interviews with Yale alumni to explore the hearts and minds of those working at the intersection of spiritual leadership and environmental action. Reflections on Religion & Ecology: Yale Alumni Speak from the Field uplifts the voices of practitioners, scholars, organizers, and spiritual leaders working at the intersection of religion, ecology, and justice.

From eco-theologians to climate protesters, from ecological chaplains to bird and water protectors—this conversation series highlights how alumni are forging unique vocational paths as advocates for our blue-green planetary home. Their stories remind us that our ecological crisis is not only economic, political, or social—but also spiritual in nature.

Have you ever heard a theologian talk about grief like it’s a protest? Or a scientist describe animism as sacred literacy? Reflections on Religion & Ecology is where those conversations happen. This series bridges the spiritual and ecological in raw, personal, transformative ways. Every voice is an invitation to listen deeper.

Each week we'll highlight a different interview on social media (Facebook; Instagram), and we're very pleased to begin with Rev. Jim Antal on climate faith, civil disobedience & prophetic courage.
