Praying with Creation: Finding Healing, Connection and Purpose

Event description:

June 12-14, 2026

Mercy by the Sea

With Christina Leaño

How do we nurture a deeper connection with Earth, with one another and with the sacred presence within all creation?

Step away from the pace of daily life and enter a weekend of renewal, reflection and reconnection. Together, we will move, listen, and pray with the natural world; awakening our senses and opening new pathways for healing and hope.

Through guided meditation, gentle outdoor experiences inspired by forest therapy, and contemplative dialogue, you will actively engage with creation as both teacher and companion. You’ll be invited to slow down, notice more deeply and rediscover the Sacred woven through the elements of earth, air, water, and light.

Inspired by Pope Francis’ encyclical “Laudato Si’: On Care for Our Common Home,” we will also take time to reflect on the “cries of the earth and the cries of the poor.” Through prayer, listening and dialogue, we will explore how these realities touch our lives and consider meaningful, practical ways we are each called to respond—with compassion, awareness and action.

The weekend will follow a gentle rhythm of presentation, prayer, personal reflection and shared experiencewith ample time for silence and rest. Come ready to walk, to wonder, to pray and to be renewed.
