16 Cubits is at once the world's most traditional sukkot gathering – renewing the ancient practice of a community foraging all natural materials from their land, building together, and then dwelling and sleeping in their sukkot (exposed to the elements) while eating autumn's peak harvest – and the world's most innovative sukkot gathering – convening eco-centric architects to lead participants in sukkah-building for embodied learning as much as to prototype models for sustainable, bio-based architecture of the future. All faiths, disciplines, skill sets, and diets are welcome!
