Laudato Si’ Week 2021

Today we wanted to share information on Laudato Si’ Week, taking place May 16-25, 2021. In 2020, Pope Francis encouraged Catholics around the world to celebrate the 5th anniversary of the encyclical Laudato Si'–to reflect on the progress we've made in caring for our common home, as well as looking at how far we still need to go and how we can get there together. This launched the first Laudato Si' week, which had to be held virtually, due to the pandemic. You can find videos of many of the Laudato Si week 2020 events here at the Global Catholic Climate Movement YouTube channel. This year, daily events will be held online, as well as local live events on the Day of Global Action (5/21).

From the event site:

Laudato Si’ Week 2021, to be held May 16-25, will be the crowning event of the Special Laudato Si’ Anniversary Year, and a celebration of the great progress the whole Church has made on its journey to ecological conversion. Laudato Si’ Week 2021 will also be a time to reflect on what the COVID-19 pandemic has taught us and prepare for the future with hope.

Each day there are events with multiple speakers, as well as a live-streamed concert and cultural festival on World Biodiversity Day (5/22); a Day of Global Action, encouraging individuals to host related events locally (5/21); and a Pentecost prayer gathering (5/23). Go here to see the full schedule of events. If you wish to organize an action or event in your area, details on that can be also be found here (scroll down past the schedule).
