A Waterside Chat with Environmental Educator, Susan Golden
Join Susan for an interactive presentation on the basics of sustainable development, how progress is being assessed and why we need it with a Q&A to follow. In this presentation Susan discuss what it means to “live sustainably” in our modern society. We explore the relevant questions of how to meet the needs of 7.5 billion people inhabiting the Earth while striving to sustain our planet for future generations. This workshop looks at various human impacts on the planet from resource materials and energy needs to waste generation. We investigate the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals and the achievements being made in the 17 areas. We also discuss the terms, “zero waste” and “circular economy” and how they can be realized.
