Spirituality & Eco-justice on the Anacostia

Event description:

January 24 - May 2, 2023

Beginning in January, we have a very special (mostly) online offering to share with you. Beth Norcross will team with Rev. Dr. Kip Banks, a leader on racial inequity issues in the D.C. area and pastor of a church on the banks of the Anacostia, to present Spirituality & Eco-justice on the Anacostia.

Offered through Wesley Theological Seminary, this program is a wonderful opportunity to earn seminary credit or CEUs. It is also open to all with special Wesley registration.

The course will explore ecology, spirituality and eco-justice along this urban river, examining the role of racism in ecological abuse and seeking spiritual awakening for healing and justice within sacred landscapes and communities.

When & Where:
Online Select Tuesdays, January 24 - May 2, 2023, 6:30 - 8:30pm ET
PLUS two required field trips on the river, March 25 & April 15 (if taking for credit).
