At a Crossroads: A Multireligious Intergenerational Response to the Social & Environmental Crises

Event description:

November 27-30, 2022

Religions for Peace, in partnership with the City Council of Manresa, Spain, and Religions for Peace-Spain-GTER, is honoured to invite you to virtually participate in the “At a Crossroads: A Multireligious Intergenerational Response to the Social & Environmental Crises,” conference on 27 - 30 November 2022.

In commemoration of the 500th anniversary of St. Ignatius of Loyola’s pilgrimage and his stay in the city of Manresa—and building upon the Earth Day Celebration event “Love and Respect the Earth: Multi-Religious Collaboration to Address the Climate Crisis”—At a Crossroads addresses the social and environmental crises facing our cities and earth.

The forum will emphasise the importance of engaging youth to create and nurture sustainable, just, and inclusive cities. It will also provide a unique platform through which youth and elders seek tangible solutions to pressing social and environmental concerns, including: housing, food, and water insecurity; and, access to equitable healthcare, education, and greenspace. The outcome of this event will be the signing of The Manresa 2022 Multireligious and Multisectoral Global Pact for the Development of Resilient, Sustainable, Safe, and Inclusive Cities (The Manresa Pact).
