This is Europe's first significant mosque constructed and run on sustainable principles. It features air-source heat pumps, rainwater harvesting, PVAs, sedum roofs, low-energy concrete and sustainably harvested timber construction. The project also involves significant welfare outreach to refugee and other vulnerable local communities.

This project has won at least ten major awards and sets a new benchmark for sustainable mosque construction.
