Summary of Activity
Mali, a country of the Sahel, plagued by socio-political and security instability, is increasingly confronted with a problem of food and nutritional insecurity. The project provides agro-ecology education to support farmers in transitioning from conventional to organic farming techniques. The project especially seeks to empower young farmers and women farmers.
Impact
This 5 year project (2022-2026), is specifically focused on 5 Regions of Mali: Kayes, Koulikoro, Ségou, Sikasso, Mopti and Bamako. The training is being delivered to 2,000 producers, 55% of whom are women and 20% young people from farmers' organizations
