Online event at 12-1pm EDT
In the context of ongoing climate change, increasing severity of natural disasters, and heightened vulnerability of low-income communities, in particular communities of color, to environmental change, URI and WRI seek to empower religious institutions to act as resilience hubs in their local communities.
URI and WRI seek to invite grassroots participation from URI Cooperation Circles (CCs) and other organizational partners to discuss the potential for religious institutions in the United States to act as resilience hubs and to explore what resources would be necessary to facilitate this action, particularly among institutions who serve low-income communities, rural areas, communities of color, and others who are most vulnerable to the effects of climate change.
