December 16-18, 2010
Cathedral of St. John the Divine
New York, NY, USA
Joining the Consort this year will be Armenian vocalist Arto Tunçboyaciyan, gospel singer Theresa Thomason and the Forces of Nature Dance Theatre, who lit up the show last year. The Consort includes Paul Winter, soprano sax, double-reed master Paul McCandless, Eugene Friesen on cello, keyboardist Paul Sullivan, percussionists Jamey Haddad and Bill Cahn and Tim Brumfield on the Cathedral’s pipe organ.
Besides the perennial classics and new pieces by our guest musicians and dancers, the performance will feature music from the Consort’s new album Miho: Journey to the Mountain.
And of course, the star of the show, the Cathedral of St. John the Divine, will contribute its acoustic and aesthetic majesty to the celebration.
Four shows only, Dec. 16-18, three evening shows and one matinee. Ticket prices are the same as last year ($35-$80).
