La Vista Ecological Learning Center

La Vista Ecological Learning Center is a ministry of the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate located in Godfrey, Illinois, on bluffs overlooking the Mississippi River.

Caring for the land, providing safe habitat for native wildlife, growing healthy vegetables for local residents, and offering a haven of peace for Oblates and visitors alike are a few of the privileges of living and working in this sacred space.

Northeast Environmental Justice Center of the United Church of Christ

As a regional Environmental Justice Center of the United Church of Christ, we are called to inspire and motivate individuals and communities to restore and sustain God’s Creation in ways that are responsible, faithful and just.

We provide transformative, justice-centered approaches to climate change and environmental equity, in a forum that empowers individuals and communities to be bold witnesses and leaders in their communities.

WATERSPIRIT

WATERSPIRIT is a center of ecology and spirituality that informs, inspires, and enables all people to deepen their consciousness of the sacredness and interdependence of all creation with a focus on water as critical in sustaining all life.

Prairiewoods

Prairiewoods Franciscan Spirituality Center opened its doors in July of 1996 as a ministry of the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration of La Crosse, Wisconsin. The foundational vision for this center, with its 30 acres of prairie and 40 acres of woodlands, is the integration of spirituality and ecology based on the new story of the universe and the writings of Thomas Berry, Brian Swimme and similar authors. Also at work in the development of the underlying philosophy is the Franciscan concept of the immanence of God in the created world.
