Summary of Activity

This project aims to help women, girls and youth to be empowered by agro-ecological knowledge and practices to participate in environmental conservation, soil management, and good water conservation practices. The project links women and youth to adopt-a-tree programs and adopts Briquette Technology to convert biomass into a renewable energy source at a lower cost with less infrastructure.

Impact

We have recruited and trained DTC farmers on crop management of sorghum, finger millet and groundnuts. This program is so far benefitting an estimated 500 households. We intend to expand and reach out to 1500 in the next year. We have also planted 29,000 trees so far in collaboration with the Green Anglican Movement.
