Govardhan Ecovillage Skills Centre (GSC)
GEV is a model eco-community nestled in the Sahyadri mountains with a picturesque natural landscape that provides training in sustainable agriculture, safe water access, STEM classes, livelihood training, and more while furthering conservation.
GEV works closely with 100+ tribal villages in the neighborhood of Palghar District to train 8000+ farmers in sustainable agriculture, distribute 7 L+ free meals annually, conduct 2.5K+ health camps annually, prodive STEM classes for 9k+ students from rural schools, and provide livelihood traning for 350+ women. With irrigation systems and water recycling, a solar power plant, biogas production through cow dung, plastic recycling, and certified green buildings, GEV consists of 10 acres of biodiversity park with over 100 species of birds and butterflies, along with the conservation of indigenous varieties of rice, vegetables, and trees.
