Summary of Activity

Since 2002, the Beer-Sheba Project has combined a sustainable agro-forestry program together with holistic training and an agricultural resource center for young Senegalese farmers.

Impact

The project acquired 250 acres of land from the local government and planted 50,000 trees on the fenced-in land.Project participants are building a guesthouse and a center for environmental training for those interested in learning techniques of land reclamation and reforestation, with the intention of starting similar projects in other areas of Senegal.
