After a brief account of St. Hildegard's life-story and concept of viriditas (the God force in things), presenters will reflect on practical consequences of that principle for parish life. How might a parish’s “Hildegard Guild” be inspired to reshape practices, including spiritual formation, catechesis, artistic expression, fellowship gatherings, and care for buildings and grounds?
Julia Bates is a retired educator and non-profit leader, descended from Moravian missionaries dating back to 1740, which may account for her persistent participation in prayer and worship in various contexts.
