Wild Edible Walk

Join experienced naturalist Anne Price as she guides us through the Plainsboro Preserve in search of wild edibles. Participants will learn how to safely identify plants we can enjoy as well as plants we should avoid and collect some foods to prepare a meal. Walk for Water

Globally, the average distance a person has to travel to get potable water is 3.5 miles. Join Waterspirit on June 8 at 2 pm in Atlantic Highlands Harbor Park as we walk 3.5 miles to raise awareness about the importance of access to the sacred, life-giving element of water. Lament With Earth

Waterspirit along with The BTS Center and The Many, invite you to Lament With Earth. This online event will include original music, poetry, rituals, scripture and videos to reflect seasons of loss. This event is interactive, inviting you to pray and sing along and to bring your own sense of loss and sadness into this communal space. Plastic pollution continues to enter our waters and the list of all affected by plastic includes fish, turtles, whales, seabirds, and people. Wet, Wild, and Wonderful Adventures at the Plainsboro Preserve
Session one ages 9-12

Join Waterspirit for a week-long adventure at the Plainsboro Preserve. During “Wet, Wild and Wonderful.” children will enjoy searching Devil’s Brook for aquatic life, watching frogs in the pond, and visiting a real beaver lodge. We will enjoy water games and some wet and wild craft activities too.
Time: 9am-3pm
Cost: $200

Amazing Adaptations Adventures at the Plainsboro Preserve
ages 6-11

How do frogs swallow? What are turtle shells made of? Animals and Plants have evolved to survive great challenges from finding food to avoiding predators and so much more. Let's explore these Amazing Adaptations together. We will investigate the different ecosystems around the Plainsboro Preserve and find more signs of adaptations in the natural world all around us. The fun and learning continues after our explorations through games, arts and crafts.
