Call for Papers: Special Section of Oryx Journal

March 10, 2016

As part of our efforts to raise awareness of the importance of cultural and spiritual values amongst conservation policy-makers and practitioners, we would like to explore the potential to publish a special section on these issues in our peer-reviewed journal, Oryx.  A special section is a collection of two or more articles on a particular topic. The articles are published together in an issue of the journal and the section is highlighted in the contents (both online and in print). Special sections have been proven to be useful -  for both authors and the journal alike - in drawing attention to a particular subject. Monitoring of such sections has shown that any one article receives considerably greater attention (in terms of views and downloads) when published as part of a special section than when published alone.

Information on the types of submission, including word limits, can be found here Anyone who would like to express an interest should, in the first instance, contact me to discuss their ideas (.(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)) by mid April. Timeframe for publication (if we can generate enough interest/material) would likely be early 2017.
