The Spiritual Dimension of Climate Change at Prairiewoods: An Interfaith Experience

Sunday, August 28, 2016
1:00 PM - 6:30 PM

Prairiewoods Franciscan Spirituality Center
120 E Boyson Rd
Hiawatha, IA, USA

Registration is required by August 23.

Prairiewoods Franciscan Spirituality Center, Iowa Interfaith Power & Light, the Inter-Religious Council of Linn County and The Interfaith Green Coalition are bringing people together to talk about climate change from a spiritual perspective. This day of reflection, dialogue and ritual will include input from Christian, Jewish, Buddhist, Muslim, Native American and Humanist representatives. Join us as we learn about a variety of faith traditions and explore climate change from various spiritual dimensions.

Alone, none of us has the whole picture of the divine, life or reality. Each of us has something unique to offer to humanity and to Earth, and each tradition represents one face of the whole jewel.

We will have time for personal reflection with periods of silence and journaling. We will be invited to celebrate various religious heritages through song, dance, meditation and scripture. And we will have time and information to transform and expand our world view!
