President’s Day Action for the Climate

Event description:

Invite to President’s Day Action for the Climate Feb. 17, 2013

An important public action in defense of our threatened Mother Earth is being organized for President’s Day weekend, Sunday Feb. 17th.

This event is co-sponsored by the Sierra Club and 350.org   You may also sign-up with either of them to receive updates.

Interfaith Moral Action on Climate has endorsed this event and we hope you and/or your organization will do so also and help spread the word very broadly. People of faith have a great deal to offer to those who are deeply concerned about the urgent climate crisis. All of our faith traditions emphasize the importance of care for creation and stewardship of the earth and all of its life forms.

What: The largest climate rally in history of USA.
Where: The National Mall in Washington, D.C., including a march to the White House
When: February 17, 2013, Noon - 4:00 p.m. (please arrive by 11:30 a.m.)

By our strong participation on February 17th, we can make a loud statement about the growing determination of religious communities to be heard on this most deeply moral issue.

We’ll send you updates about how/where we will gather the IMAC contingent for this action.

In peace, for justice and the earth,
The Interfaith Moral Action on Climate Steering Committee
