John Grim on WNPR’s The Colin McEnroe Show


WNPR's The Colin McEnroe Show is producing a program on Thursday, August 11 at 1-2pm EST on the history of the Sun. John Grim is the featured speaker and will discuss how the Sun has been worshipped throughout history by selected religions and cultures.

John will link his remarks to the four Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) that he will co-teach with Mary Evelyn Tucker at Yale University through the online platform, Coursera. These MOOCs will be featured as a specialization under the theme of “Journey of the Universe: A Story for Our Times” and will be launched on September 21st. Anyone in the country can stream this WNPR broadcast by going to and clicking "Listen Live" in the upper left corner of the page. This can be done either at 1pm EST on Thursday, August 11 when the program is happening live or at 8pm EST on Thursday evening when WNPR rebroadcasts it.

This program can also be heard live from a network of broadcasters throughout CT, in southern parts of MA, and in various parts of NY. Those who wish to listen to it on their radio can tune into their local NPR member stations at the two aforementioned times on Thursday. Member stations broadcasting the program are as follows:
