On June 17, 2017, the voyaging canoe Hokule’a will return home to Hawai’i after a three-year voyage around the world. She sailed approximately 40,000 nautical miles, visited more than 150 ports, and shared stories of hope and inspiration directly with more than 100,000 people. The culmination of the Malama Honua Worldwide Voyage, historic return of Hokule’a to Hawai‘i on June 17 will be celebrated at Magic Island in Honolulu, Hawaii with a cultural welcoming ceremony followed by an all-day celebration.
