The Great Story is a 50 minute documentary film portraying the life and work of Thomas Berry.

As a pioneer in the field of religion and ecology, Thomas Berry created a quiet revolution. He was a cultural historian known especially for his books The Dream of the Earth and The Great Work.

This film displays the beauty of the natural world as Berry highlights the critical environmental crisis we are currently facing. At the heart of the film is Berry’s scientific and poetic appreciation for the universe as an unfolding evolutionary event. He calls for understanding this epic of evolution as a narrative in which we participate. By entering into the beauty and awe this story evokes we may enhance the flourishing of the Earth community.
