New York Artist Angela Manno’s first exhibition of her unique icons of threatened and endangered species will be on display at Ceres Gallery in Manhattan, in ENDANGERED EARTH, a timely exhibit that speaks to the environmental emergency we are witnessing. This group show opens December 10 at Ceres Gallery, 547 West 27th Street, New York, NY room 201 and runs through December 14. Opening reception will be held Thursday evening December 12 at 6-8pm in the gallery. Gallery Hours are 12-6pm on Tuesday-Saturday and 12-8pm on Thursday. 50% of her sales will benefit the Center for Biological Diversity.

Manno’s icons are executed in the same liturgical iconographic method and materials that originated in monasteries of 14th-16th century Russia. Her intention is to portray all non-human species in all their glory and to expand our sense of what is sacred and deserving of our reverence and protection.
