Climate Change Panel Hosted at UNCW
Economic and Environmental Impacts to Southeast NC Highlighted

Wilmington, NC: UNCW Environmental Concerns Organization (ECO) and North Carolina Climate Solutions Coalition (NCCSC) are hosting a panel of experts to discuss economic and environmental impacts of and solutions for climate change to our area. This national and local group of guest speakers will include energy sector professionals, UNCW professors, business leaders, and politicians.

The goal of the forum is to communicate the importance of the Jacobson Resolution for the city of Wilmington. It supports a North Carolina goal of 100% clean energy by 2050 and the creation of green jobs. This unique plan was presented to all 50 states in the country last year by Stanford University and UC- Davis. Chatham County, near Chapel Hill, is the furthest east of the current resolution signers.

The free event will be held at UNCW Dobo Hall, Room 134, on Saturday, October 14th from 10:30am-4 pm. Follow us on Facebook at facebook.com/uncwclimate for more information.
